Oh… I think it would be quite wonderful if CompUSA re-opened in Pittsburgh, PA. This town hasn’t been the same without my beloved CompUSA.

I purchased a laptop for my son to take to College back in August 2006. The laptop was purchased at Office Depot. I purchased a three year warranty on this laptop from CompUSA, which at the time, was located next door to Office Depot. Now the laptop needs warranty service, and all of the CompUSA Stores in Maryland are closed. How do I get warranty service on this laptop?

Please answer

I purchased a laptop with a 3-yr warranty at your Auburn Hills, MI store in January 2007. The laptop needs warranty service and maintenance covered under the warranty. How and where do I go to get service? I was told last year to go to the Lansing, MI store should I need service but I see it is now closed too so where/what do I do now?????

Seems that a number of you have questions regarding the extended warranties you previously purchased. Well, there is good news.

CompUSA’s Technology Assurance Plan (TAP), the extended service plan purchased by customers for their personal computers, will be fully honored by Assurant Solutions.

Customers with repair issues should call a special toll-free line at 1.877.520.8324.

As long as your warranty remains – you should be covered.

With all of the 16 former CompUSA Stores open, there are grand opening celebrations going on every weekend and we are happy to bring back a service to the community.

Thanks to everyone who has posted – we appreciate your feedback and encourage you to continue interacting with us!

We could use a CompUSA on Oahu, Hawai’i. I don’t understand why you left in the first place.

Any possiblity of a new CompUSA to open in Baltimore again? I used to work for the CompUSA in Towson, MD and although it had its problems, I enjoyed selling your macintosh products to Mac customers, when of course, the rest of the hardware sales team cared less. I worked very hard there to ensure customers who bought Macs were taken care of. Also, thanks to my employment and discounts at the time, the birth of my brand new Mac took place. It was sometime in 1999-2000 I purchased my first Power Mac G4 350mhz machine + OS 9 OS for 99.99 – discounts, Appleworks, and virtual PC 3.0

I truly miss the store that once stood at 1015 York Road in Towson, MD.

Please bring it back!

Please reopen the Franklin Mills Store in Philadelphia,PA or at least open a store in the Philadelphia,PA area. I have always gone to Compusa for my computer needs because BestBuy and Circuit City don’t sell individual PC accessories or even even come close to stocking the merchandise that Compusa did. Now I am at a lose where do I go buy the accessories I need for my PC.
Even when I didn’t have money to buy I would spend hours just walking the isles of Compusa and learn about the new technology that was available. Am i realy expected to drive to Florida for my computer hardware
