Asus Eee PC makes Life Simple for Escauge Family
CompUSA is always trying to help, and when we were contacted by TLC’s ‘Home Made Simple‘ - it was only a logical thing to do for this family on the go.
We just received this photograph from the Escauge family of the several Asus eee PCs provided for them to use as part of their busy family schedules and activities, in addition to a Canon Wireless printer and D-Link 802.11N Wireless Router.

CompUSA reopens with new look, products - El Paso Times
About 300 electronics enthusiasts and curious shoppers lined up for CompUSA’s grand reopening at 7 a.m. Friday, store officials estimated. The store at 9521 Viscount, formerly part of a shuttered Dallas chain, was one of 16 CompUSA stores purchased by New York company Systemax Inc. and recently reopened. Eastsider Noel Pallares and his 7-year-old daughter, Victoria, got in line at 6:30 a.m. to check out the new store and to buy a television. “It’s good for El Paso,” Pallares said. “It gives you more options to shop.”
CompUSA reopens Texas stores (Dallas Business Journal)
CompUSA stores in Plano, El Paso and McAllen are reopening their doors on Friday.
The stores are among 16 CompUSA stores that have been refurbished and restocked by Systemax Inc. (NYSE: SYX), which bought the Dallas-based consumer electronics chain in January. The other stores are in Florida and Puerto Rico.

CompUSA re-openings are getting the attention of the press - here’s a story from the Orlando Sentinel:
Although both the Orlando and Altamonte Springs CompUSA stores have been open for a few weeks, they will officially re-open on Friday with deals and giveaways.
Starting at 7 a.m. tomorrow, the two Central Florida stores will have a 2-day grand re-opening event, with hourly giveaways and sales.
