Simple yet packed with features, the General Electric A830 Digital Camera is your basic no-nonsense camera that can be taken everywhere. It supports an 8-megapixel resolution, 3x optical zoom and 4.5x digital zoom. Fitted with a 2.5-inch LCD screen, it is equipped with Electronic Image Stabilization to help avoid getting blurred results when you are on a moving vehicle or chasing a moving subject.

The camera also comes with Face Detection technology, which detects facial patterns. This technology locks the facial patterns, and accordingly adjusts other support features like flash output and exposure to get a great picture.

It has white balance control (daylight, cloudy, incandescent and fluorescent), and its flash adjusts to the environment and includes forced flash and slow synchro modes. For shooting modes it has movie, landscape, sunset, night portrait/landscape, foliage, beach and fireworks. Continuous shooting is also supported, working at approximately 1.8fps in large or fine mode.

The 4.6oz digital camera has an IR cut low pass filter to suppress ghosting and color fogging. Having this feature avoids weird colors on your picture, especially when you’re taking shots in between light and dark areas. Its AF assist illuminator helps to focus operation during difficult light conditions. You can review all your pictures through a slide show or 4- to 16-image thumbnails; it also has a histogram display.
