[..YouTube..] No, anyone who has tried to play Assassin’s Creed on an ati card has hed problems. Check their forums. Also games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R., the Orange Box, Crysis and Oblivion have all been optimized for nvidia cards. They get better performance most of the time using nvidia than ati.

[..YouTube..] You won’t regret it at all if you take advantage of this card. The HIS version is the only one that comes with the little screw driver tool. The Diamond and Visiontek doesn’t come with it. I bought 3 of the Visiontek version but I’m only using 2 right now. I put the other one on an older PC of mine. Three ATI 4850 GPU’s was MORE than enough of what I was aiming for. It really emphasizes the BANG out of the “Bang for your buck.” LoL!

The HD4850, HD4870, HD4870 X2 are the top 3 ATI cards.
9800 GX2, GTX260, and GTX280 are the top Nvidia cards.

Anything below that is getting into the midrange, with perhaps the exception of the HD3870 X2 or any kind of hopped up HD3870.

Q6600 at 3.33 GHz, 4 gigs of DDR2 at 888 mhz, and a powercolor HD 4850 512 mb version

Prices for the HD 4850:
512mb versions are $160-$185
1gb versions are around $200
