Toshiba 19LV505 19-inch LCD HDTV/DVD Combo
Toshiba’s got an ace up its sleeve when playing the innovative entertainment game: The 19LV505 combination LCD TV and DVD player. No need for separate purchases; this promises an excellent HD viewing experience in one neat package.
Its 19-inch diagonal widescreen is of the TFT LCD variety giving it a versatile edge. It has a contrast ratio of 800:1, a resolution of 1440×900, and framing dimensions of 16.81″ x 14.33″. For a 19 inch TV (with built-in DVD slot), this product is light at only 12.32 lbs. This unit is perfect for viewing standard, high definition and analog television signals and DVD movies.
DVD and HD Display All in One
The crowning glory of this Toshiba TV model, of course, is its built-in Slot Loading DVD player. You have the option of either watching the TV broadcast or playing your favorite DVD. The extra space that would have been eaten up by an extra appliance (a DVD player) is saved and could be allocated for something else (like a high definition blu-ray player or PS3, for instance).
The built-in ATSC/NTSC/QAM digital tuner gives one the option of switching between cable channels and off-air digital broadcasts. “Cable-in-the-clear” broadcasts are also on the menu. All you need to do is switch at will.
As an official DivX Certified product, the Toshiba 19LV505 Diagonal LCD HDTV/DVD Combo can play all versions of DivX video (including the DivX6). This includes the playback of related media files.
To use the Toshiba 19LV505 as a computer monitor, all you need is to connect your computer to the PC input. For gaming and/or HD content, just connect your game console or media source to the A/V Input, HDMI, or Component Input.
Versatile? It most certainly is.
