The chips in this Black Edition processor boast a total of 512KB total L1 cache per die. A total of 2MB L2 cache is available per processor, while a 2MB L3 cache is shared by all four cores.
Supporting this capable Phenom is the MSI K9A2 Platinum Gaming Motherboard. It is also compatible with Athlon 64, X2, and FX processors, as well as Semprons for Socket AM2 and Socket AM2+. It can take up to up to 8 GB of DDR2-400, 533, 667, or 800 in dual-channel mode. There’s a lot of PCI Express 2.0 slots available for installation of graphics cards and accelerators. There are 2 CrossFire bridges, too.
The main feature of this feature-rich motherboard, though, is the alternating graphics and non-graphics slots. These slots allow you to build a Quad CrossFire system with ease, and without having a port unnecessarily blocked.
Other components in this barebone include a pair of memory sticks, a 22-in-1 media reader, wireless adapter, and a power supply. 2GB of 1066MHz gaming memory is available to instantly enjoy the latest in PC gaming. The amount of memory is already enough to drive higher frame rates. The 22-in-1 Flash Media Reader, meanwhile, provides you access to four media slots. Now you can instantly transfer images and files from your digital camera, MP3 player, or DV camcorder.
The included wireless adapter lets you play games online. It possesses a PCI interface and provides wireless connection in 802.11b/g frequencies. An 850-Watt Thermaltake Toughpower Power Supply allows you to customize a whole variety of components.
The Antec Nine Hundred Gaming Case houses all these nifty components.
